About our home

Our home was built in the 1950s and we restored and updated it just before we moved in 2016. It is on a quiet residential street, with a private driveway. It is located just 20 minutes drive from Heathrow airport and has easy access to London by car or by train. It is a short drive (less than 10 minutes) from Gerrards Cross Station where you can get a train that takes 19 mins train to central London. It is also just 10 minutes drive from Chalfont & Latimer Underground Station (Metropolitan Line) where it takes less than one hour to get to central London (very cheaply). It is also less than 10 minutes drive to the M40 or M25 - both large motorways connecting you to many great UK attractions including Warner Brothers Harry Potter Studios, Beaconsfield, Windsor, Oxford, Marlow and Henley on Thames. Chalfont St. Peter is a lovely town situated in the Chilterns. There are great walks and trails near to the house (within walking distance) and the local town has many amenities - including great restaurants and supermarkets.

Downstairs there is a sizable porch - for your coats, wellies and pushchairs - and a downstairs W.C. We have an open kitchen and dining room and then two separate reception rooms - one is a playroom with lots of toys, a sofa and a large television, the other is a sitting room with a wood burning fireplace - perfect for cosy evenings at home.

Upstairs there are four large bedrooms. Three of the rooms have double beds and one room has a small single and a cot. We have additional cots if needed. There is one large family bathroom and the master bedroom has an ensuite shower room.

We have a lovely garden behind the house, complete with garden furniture and a gas BBQ.

More about us

  2. Henry is a secondary / high school teacher and Charlotte is a Business Change Manager for a large Hotel Company.

  3. We love travel and seeing the world together. We also love our home and it is the perfect family house - lots of space and quiet areas for adults but also a room full of toys for the children.
