Just 4 miles to the east of Dundee city centre lies the famous seaside town of Broughty Ferry - known as "The Jewel in Dundee's Crown". Bustling with personality and charm, Broughty Ferry offers a perfect mix of history, hospitality, shopping and leisure to suit all the family.

Since Victorian times, Broughty Ferry has been one of Scotland’s most popular waterfront destinations, renowned for its fine seafront esplanade and award-winning golden sands. With a charming town centre full of colourful independent stores, boutiques and gift shops, and a great range of stylish eateries, Broughty Ferry is the perfect location for a lively day trip or long stay vacation.

Famed for its array of traditional taverns and stylish contemporary wine bars, and home to several of Dundee’s top ten restaurants, Broughty Ferry’s hospitality is second to none!

The town is within striking distance by car or train to all of Scotland's cities: Edinburgh (1 hour); Dundee (10 minutes); Glasgow (1 hour 10 mins); Aberdeen (1 hour 30 mins); Inverness (2 hours); Perth (30 mins). World famous golf courses St Andrews and Carnoustie are with 20 minutes away along with many award winning beautiful beaches and small traditional fishing villages and harbours. If fishing is your passion you have easy access to the famous salmon rich river Tay and sea fishing just minutes from our door. We have a range of fishing rods for you to use. The Scottish Trossachs and Highlands are an easy drive away. As a base for exploring our beautiful historically and culturally rich country, Broughty Ferry is hard to beat.
