Our house is double glazed, with central heating boiler, and is furnished & decorated to a high standard.
Shower in our newly renovated bathroom.
Two new teenager/adult size bikes.
Computer with high speed internet access.
Both childrens bedrooms have tv, dvd, & games consoles.
Vauxhall vectra 1.8litre family sized (seats five) hatchback ideal for days out.
Our home is only a short distance from Manchester Airport, and if you like planes, you can get a good view of them coming in to land on most days. More importantly it takes only about five minutes to get from the airport to our house!
Our house is located close to 'Heald Green Village'. A quality Thai restaurant, an award winning bakery, and a family run butchers (and greengrocers!) are just some of the many interesting shops. There is a railway station and the village has a nice traditional feel about it.
Located in a quiet cul de sac, we are on the edge of the Cheshire countryside and plenty of nice scenery, and about 5 minutes drive from the National trusts 'Quarry Bank Mill'. Another 5 minutes drive will get you to the National trusts 'alderley edge':a natural geological fault which rises up high and gives fantastic views of Cheshire. Yet we are only about a mile from the Greater Manchester ring road (M60 Motorway) and this gives easy access to the M56 (North wales is a 30min. motorway drive), as well as the M6 motorway which leads up to Cumbria (Lake District-breathtaking scenery) and the Yorkshire Dales (80 minute motorway drive)
To the south there is Buxton, and the Peak District National Park.
If you want a more metropolitan feel for the day, you can get on a train at Heald Green Station and be in Manchesters city centre in about 8 minutes. From there, you can walk or take the tram to any of manchesters various quarters. With a massive student population, and a strong musical heritage (joy division,(new order) the smiths (morrisey) happy mondays etc.) Manchesters transition into a modern vibrant city, continues with pace. Bars, restaurants, theatres, shops, clubs, and probably about 40 different venues playing different kinds of live music all week long.
Me, my wife adele and our three daughters have lived here for nine years. My eldest daughter is doing her masters in enviromental studies and is in a local indie band. My middle daughter lives in a small studio flat we have next door to our house (her hobbies are:spending money or going pictures....or spending more money!) and my youngest daughter attends the local high school (and generally gives us and the rest of our family a hard time!)....We have a small, clean, lovable dog called daisy, though she can be left with relatives or in kennels whilst your here.
Our avenue is very quite most of the year...except for the summer months when some of the local kids 'play out' (Nice, decent, girls and boys of various ages)....
