About our home

Our home is unique - it is an elegant large light and airy beamed first floor apartment in a magnificent 100 year old Manor house built by the famous architects Lutyens and his colleague Forbes. It has beautiful front and back gardens with pots spilling flowers and shrubs. Inside the rooms are spacious, often double or triple aspect and it is a joy to live here. There is a ground floor garden room which is a delight. It is down a private road and within walking distance there are rolling Chiltern Hills, meadows full of poppies in May and June and endless walking and cycling routes for many miles. The town of Chesham is part cobbled streets, only half a mile away with lots of friendly coffee shops, a twice weekly market and a very individual feel. London is only half an hour away on the train, and there is a local theatre and some excellent eating places to suit all tastes in Chesham and in the nearby town of Old Amersham . Our home is a very special place, beautifully decorated, full of character, warmth and peace.
