About our home

Our home is an 1880's red brick victorian cottage set in the chiltern hills. It has been completely updated inside with a modern kitchen and bath but still retains much character throughout with original architecture and sash windows. We have a private brick courtyard where you can dine alfresco and a stairway up to a lovely private flower garden.

There are two double bedrooms, and one large bathroom with a shower / bath and heated ceramic tile flooring.

Downstairs you will find a new tv with Sky+ satellite including movie channels, dvd player, and stereo system.

  1. Our names are Wayne and Danielle, 31 and 30 years old.
Wayne was born and raised in London, and I am Canadian and have lived in England for 2 years.

Wayne is a self employed electrician, and I am a social services manager employed by the local government.

Where is it?

Our house is a few minutes walk down to Chesham, a historic market town. Market still takes place here every Wednesday and Saturday. Grocery shops, pubs, post office, banking, and every other service you may require are available in Chesham town.

Chesham is situated in the hart of the Chiltern hills, which are characterised by tracks of forest as well as county side. There are numerous cycling, walking, and bridleway tracks in the area. There are also several other beautiful and historic towns within a few kilometers of Chesham and accessible by bicylce or train / car.

Chesham is on the London Underground system and Central London is accessible by train in about 40 minutes. The train station is a 5 minute walk from our house. We also have parking available on the street in front of our house. Our street is a 'no through road' and so very quiet. Driving into London is relatively easy and takes 30 - 40 minutes.

There are a number of public golf courses nearby, a good fitness centre near our house, and a public open air swimming pool in town.

Our neighbours are very friendly and never noisy.

We don't have any pets, but like animals and pets if you have some that need to be looked after.

We have a couple of good mountain bikes that you can use.

London and all of it's many interesting attractions, far too many to list, are close at hand. You might also be interested in coming for one of the many music festivals held in England each year.
