About our home

Our beautiful 18th Century Mill House in Chester, England was completely renovated in 2009 and offers a truly unique stay, with a mill pond and waterfall in the house. It features a large, modern gourmet kitchen with integrated coffee machine and wine fridge, extra large living room, four bedrooms three en-suite, floating back garden decking over the mill pond with eating space, and views overlooking the rolling Cheshire countryside. Kids and extra guest space downstairs with tvs, piano and table football with lots of kids toys. We can make available a small car and family bicycles. Half an hour to Manchester and Liverpool.

Buzzy restaurants
Lovely gastropubs in walking distance. Chester city centre is only five minutes away and has amazing restaurants from sushi, Michelin stars to traditional pub grub.
Cool bars
Local village pub is relaxed and dog-friendly. Cool bars in Chester are only five minutes away in a taxi.
Cozy cafés
Local Bluebell cafe surrounded by fields is a few fields away as well as Tarvin village.
Retail therapy
Cheshire Oaks is a huge out-of-town retail park with luxury brands at discount prices - Mulberry, Burberry, Ralph Lauren etc. Chester has a wonderful selection of boutiques and high street stores.
Bit of culture
Chester runs regular festivals and it is a Roman walled city with wonderful architecture and tudor heritage. Liverpool and Manchester are only half an hour away with football, museums, theatres and arenas.
Walks in the park
The village has more footpaths than any other Chester village and are all marked out very well. You can walk across the fields to local Tarvin village. Chester has a beautiful Grosvenor park with a mini steam engine running at weekends and holidays for the kids, along with walks down by the River Dee.
Spot of exercise
Delamere Forest is a couple of minutes drive away and has mountain bike trails. Manley Mere is similar distance and offers sailing and windsurfing along with children's adventure trail.
Day tripping
Liverpool and Manchester half an hour away. The Lake District is only an hour and half away and London is only 2 hours on the train!
