About our home

Large detached Victorian family home with 6 bedrooms (4 doubles and 2 twins), 3 with ensuite bathrooms. One bedroom with ensuite and a sitting room is self-contained as an ideal granny flat or bedroom suite for a nanny. Located in a quiet village 10 minutes drive from the small town of Cricklade - doorway to the Cotswolds and all that it offers. House has large open fire place, 3 sitting rooms, dining room and a large kitchen equipped with an AGA, all with stripped wooden floors. Large garden with covered dining area and country walks on the doorstep. Car could be arranged.
Second 6 bedroom house available near London, with excellent transport links to the Olympic Village. Ask for details.


More about us

  1. This is the family home of John and Julia, both 50, and their 4 teenage girls. John is a recently retired senior British Army officer and Julia teaches at a leading independent school in Cheltenham. The eldest 2 are at University and the younger two are at boarding school in Cheltenham. We are able to offer non-simultaneous swap. We are travelling to Australia around 15 Dec 2012 to 6 Jan 2013 to visit our two eldest daughters who are spending a year in Sydney. Our home also available for non-simultaneous swap for much of the year.

Where is it?


House is located within easy reach of the Cotswolds and historic towns such as Oxford, Bath and Cheltenham. The Cotswolds Water Park is an easy 15 minute drive with good walks and many water based activities. There are tennis courts available to use 50 metres from the house. The village also has a Post Office, 2 convenience stores, pubs, Indian restaurant and a smart Cotswold restaurant. There is a supermarket located in the nearby town of Royal Wootton Bassett. The nearby train station offers trains to London, Oxford, Bath, Bristol, Cheltenham and Gloucester all within an hour.
