About our home

Dunlaverock House is a spectacular, iconic, coastal property, which is beautifully located high above the picturesque Coldingham Sands with magnificent views over the bay and down the coastline.
With extensive gardens with direct access to the beach below, this huge property consists of 7 bedrooms, 5 ensuite and is perfectly situated for a beach escape in the UK and family get-togethers.
The house was completed in 1907 and has extensive accommodation arranged over ground, first and second floors the principal rooms benefiting from beautiful proportions, period features and exceptional views.

Coldingham is a small, historic village which provides local amenities including a convenience store, a butcher and two pubs. The house is a short walk along the coastal path to St. Abbs, known for excellent diving and St. Abb's Head the national nature reserve renowned for bird watching.
The fishing port of Eyemouth is the largest town in the area and the High Street has a wide range of shops, delicatessen, several fishmongers, an art gallery, cafes, bistros, pubs and restaurants. To the South, the thriving historic market town of Berwick-upon-Tweed also has an excellent range of shops and recreational facilities, including a number of supermarkets, shops, restaurants and tourist attractions.
The house is easily accessible by road, train and air; Direct trains from Berwick-upon-Tweed - London 3 ½ hrs - Edinburgh 40 mins - Newcastle 1hr. 6 miles from the A1 the main road from London to Edinburgh and 1 hour from Edinburgh airport.

Dunlaverock House is well placed for a wide range of activities. Coldingham Sands is an excellent surfing beach and world-renowned diving sites are accessed from St. Abb's Harbour, which is half a mile away.
Coldingham is an historic village with the remains of a 11th century priory now the parish church. It has a fascinating past and has been home to a number of illustrious Scottish figures including 4 authors.
The fishing port of Eyemouth 10 minutes drive, is the largest town in the area and the High Street has a wide range of shops, including a supermarket, delicatessen, several fishmongers, an art gallery, cafes, bistros, pubs and restaurants. To the South, the thriving historic market town of Berwick-upon-Tweed also has an excellent range of shops and supermarkets and recreational facilities, including an art gallery and arts centre.
