About our home

Our cosy cottage in the heart of Beaconsfield old town has a double bedroom that we are happy to accept points for when we are at our other home in London.

Log fire, bath and shower, garden, and off street parking

Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire 30 minutes by train west of London and under 25mins from Heathrow airport

http://www.homesandproperty.co.uk/area-guides/uk-areas/spotlight-beaconsfield

We are located in the listed market town of Beaconsfield which is under 25 min from Heathrow as well as 30 mins by train to London Marylebone whilst at the same time being surrounded by the beautiful Chiltern countryside. it is a safe prosperous town split in two, with the old town being listed, historic and a full of interest whilst the new town has all the obvious amenities, coffee shops and boutiques one would expect.

Windsor, Marlow, Henley, Oxford are all within approx 45mins and it is a foodies dream location with The Fat Duck, Les Manior de Quatre Saisons and Waterside Inn (all with Michelin stars) located nearby as are all the that London has to offer. Beaconsfield old town is full of history and many of the buildings are listed. They are 8 restaurants that are all excellent and a few nice pubs and of course the Crazy Bear hotel and bar

The house is a three bedroom cottage and we allow people to stay in our spare room.

Full central heating but also has a log fire and is tastefully decorated, safe and very quiet.

We have a place in London and use the cottage for weekends as it is a lovely retreat and easier to get to from central London and under 30mins from Heathrow

The location: There is a best-of-both-worlds quality to Beaconsfield - the town has a sense of being in the country with central London very close

Beaconsfield (HP9) is well suited not only for London, but also for:
Henley-on-Thames (19 miles/25 mins drive)
Oxford (37 miles/45 mins drive),
Stratford-upon-Avon (65 miles/70 min drive), and
Brighton (70 miles/75 mins drive).

Shopping: Bicester village (www.bicestervillage.com) is 35 miles/40 min drive away or direct by train
