About our home

AVAILABLE FOR simultaneous or NON-simultaneous swaps or with SWAP POINTS. Our country house is normally available Easter, June & and Late August/September, for varying lengths of times.
Our beautiful home (some call a Tardis) was converted by 2005 from an original Oxfordshire Cotswold cottage built in 1929, - an unusual mixture of old and new with some original features plus its high vaulted ceilings in the new areas.
There are several 1920's fireplaces including a bakers oven, which are now ornamental. We have full central heating of course.
The house is built up high with a lovely terraced garden overlooking the water meadow and river windrush.
There is a charming entrance hall on the middle level.
The house is on 3 levels - the living room is on the middle level. plus a garden room on this level & kitchen and single bedroom with its own wet room and wc.
1 Master double bedroom (with en suite shower room/wc/ situated on the lower level with terrace overlooking the valley.
1 double on the upper floor (also with fabulous views)with adjacent bathroom/bath/shower/wc :
the third bedroom (on the same level as the living room) has a large single bed & en suite wet room/wc.
There is a 4th bedroom but this is currently kitted out for my husband's office.
Well equipped kitchen (vaulted ceiling) with double oven, hob, large fridge-freezer, dishwasher: Utility room with sink & washing machine.
Separate WC on this floor, and a little adjacent room I use as my art room.
The open plan living & dining room has wonderful views over the valley, where there is plenty of birdlife and animals graze in the summer and you can walk directly from the garden.
We have a cleaning team for your arrival, but you could arrange more if you require it.
There is Sat.TV, Firestick, DVD & CD players and a piano.

The house is 10 minutes walk into Witney town or a 5 minute drive and parking in Witney is free.
7 minutes drive to Witney Lakes Golf Club, 30 minutes drive to Oxford or you can take the local bus, to see this beautiful University Town, Oxford botanical gardens Ashmoleum Museum, two threatres and much more.
Also close by to the famous Cotswold villages of Burford. Burton on the water. The Slaughters and Chipping Norton, which also has a theatre.
90 minutes to the following:
London.(by car or National Express coach)
Stratford upon Avon - home of Shakespeare
Stonehenge, Bath
