“We spent a glorious 4 nights in Elizabeth's house and couldn't have been happier with it all. This was Elizabeth's first ever swap which was incredible as she had thought of absolutely everything! First things first: the house was warm, the beds were comfy and the shower was hot and powerful. The house was immaculate and perfectly located about 10 mins walk from the shops and pubs of Chipping Campden. Elizabeth provided us with a 'house manual' which had everything we could ever wish to know about the property and surrounds.. and more! It meant that we could focus on relaxing and enjoying our stay.. Although we only stayed for 4 nights we managed to squeeze so many activities in! We were pleased to make great use of our National Trust membership visiting quirky Snowshill Manor and the gorgeous Hidcote Gardens. We also visited the 'Cotswolds' highest castle' - Broadway Tower, whose history is impressively well-presented. We did some exercise up on the Chipping Campden recreation ground - perfect for jogging and circuits - and then put the calories back in with an outstanding lunch at the Lygon Arms! Elizabeth's kitchen is extremely well-stocked so we home-cooked most of our own meals and Chris even perfected his gluten-free chocolate muffin recipe (I was chief taster!) WIFI was reliable but you didn't really need it as the house is FULL of books. You could spend the entire week just reading! We didn't spend any time in the garden but we had a great view of it from the kitchen and had we stayed longer (and the weather been better) we definitely would have gone outside to sun bathe or eat al fresco! Sadly we ran out of time to visit the boutique cinema at Evesham or Stratford-upon-Avon, which are top of our list to do next time we visit - we just hope Elizabeth will have us again! We wish Elizabeth the best of luck with her new life as a home swapper- welcome to the gang!”
