Our home is a 7 year old detached house in a lovely cul de sac where children are safe to play. We have a open plan living area with a south facing garden which is child friendly and there is a beautiful conservatory attached to the house. We are a family of 4, one daughter and one son...aged 14 and 12. We have many pets apthough some of these can be rehomed if you so wish. We also have a horse although he will be cared for!! We have a 3 legged cat and 2 of her daughters who are low maintenance but we can house these elsewhere if required. We have 3 bedrooms, 1 en suite and another upstairs bathroom. There are plenty of toys in the home and these are there to be played with. We have satellite tv and tv's in all the bedrooms plus game stations, a laptop and loads of books to read! We are not a minimalist family although the house is very clean and very tidy. The neighbourhood is very safe and secure and the residents in the cul de sac are very friendly. We can provide contacts for babysitting or companions to play with!!! There are adult bicycles in the garage plus camping equipment and picnic stuff for your use.
If you want to stay in an easy going happy family home this is the place for you.....We love it and are sure you will too.
We live on the outskirts of Brampton, a very small market town 10 miles East of Carlisle. It has all the facilities you could want...pubs, post office, doctors, chemist, butchers, fruit shop etc all within a 5 minute walk. The house looks out over the moat and the ridge walk leading down into the valley at Lanercost where you will find an ancient priory. There are many walks that can be done from the house and our neighbours will be able to fill you in on all of these. We are a 10 minute drive from Hadrians Wall, a World heritage site and 15 miles from the Scottish Border. The Lake District is about 45 minutes drive away although there is a local tarn (lake) only minutes from the house where you can walk, hire a rowing boat or sit and have a cup of tea. It is a very beautiful town and we are very lucky to live here.....
We are a family of 4. Andy is a Civil Servant and Claire is a secondary school teacher. We spent much of our spare time enjoying the local walks with our dog but we also like visiting the many historic sites on Hadrians Wall. Our daughter, Hannah is 14 and she has a fell pony (Lives in a local stables!) and he also takes up a lot of our time. Our son, Daniel, is 12 and he enjoys messing around in the garden, and is a good shot with his long bow.
We all spent much of our spare time in the garden or house and there are plenty of board games to keep you occupied.
