About our home

Our home of 26 years is a comfortable detached house with 4 double bedrooms; lounge which leads to a sunny conservatory; modern kitchen with dining room; large utility area; ground floor shower room and separate toilet; family bathroom and toilet on the first floor. Oil fired central heating a full working wood burning stove. We have a large sunny patio, wooded gardens of 1 1/2 acres which back onto a mature beech wood and there are 2 summer houses.

  1. We are a recently retired couple, John and Fran.
    John is a former Chartered Surveyor and I was a secondary school textile and design teacher.
    We have 2 boys, one of whom lives in Devon and the other on the Sunshine Coast, Australia.
    We love the outdoors and are keen hikers and mountain bikers and also enjoy city breaks.
    Non smokers, thoughtful and respectful of other people's property.

We are quietly situated up a private cul de sac and a 5 minute walk to the main high street of Wotton under Edge.
This historic market town offers a cinema, seasonal swimming pool, arts centre and a variety of interesting shops and restaurant pubs.
The beautiful English Cotswolds are on our doorstep, offering fabulous scenery and historic churches.
This area is great for walking, biking and relaxing.
We are within a 40 minute drive of the world famous City of Bath with its beautiful Georgian architecture and a similar distance from the vibrant port City of Bristol. Stratford on Avon, home of the Royal Shakespeare Theatre and birthplace of Shakespeare is within 1 1/2 hour drive.
There are fast trains to the centre of London from Bristol and Bath and airports at Bristol, Birmingham and Cardiff, all within a 1 hour's drive.
