My stylish and comfortable home is situated in the heart of Somerset’s world-famous Cheddar Village, home to the spectacular Cheddar Gorge and Caves and birthplace of the UK’s most famous national cheese.
My home is within walking distance of the local attractions, as well as five pubs and an excellent selection of restaurants and cafes. We also have a local butcher, chemist, post office and two supermarkets close by.
The house is situated in a quiet residential street and has views to the Mendips.
If you keep the window to the master bedroom open in the evening your are likely to hear the owls in the woods that are just opposite the house.
The house has gas heating and all room are fitted with radiator, shutters are fitted to all windows with the exception for the bathrooms, kitchen diner and second bedroom.
As you enter the house through the front door off to the left there is a powder room with a WC and washbasin in a vanity unit. There is also a handy cupboard for coats and shoes in the hallway. The hallway, powder room and kitchen diner floor are all oak effect.
From the hallway, the lounge room is off to the right, this is carpeted and has a leather two-seater sofa and two generous sized armchairs. There is a coffee table and a side table next to one of the armchairs and three standard lamps. The flat screen colour TV that has FreeView and there is a CD player. There is also a gas fire for those colder nights.
The house has recently had a new kitchen and powder room. The spacious kitchen diner is off the hallway and is light and airy with high gloss kitchen cabinets, stone worktops and an island bench in the centre of the kitchen diner. There is a large fridge freezer fitted gas hob and electric oven, a slimline dishwasher and a Nespresso machine.
Off the dining room there is a conservatory that has two comfortable chairs in it along with a bistro table and two chairs. The conservatory opens on to the deck and garden. This is all south facing and an absolute delight in summer. There is a gas BBQ on the limestone patio along with outdoor tables and seating.
The washing machine and drier are in the garage along with another fridge freezer.
The stairs to the bedrooms are off to the left of the hallway. The stair and bedrooms are carpeted.
The main bathroom has a white bathroom suite, the shower is over the bath and there is a glass shower screen to stop he water from spraying over the bathroom, there is also an extractor fan in the bathroom.
The second bedroom has a king size bed. There is a build in wardrobe, chest of draws and bedroom side tables. There is also a hairdryer in this room.
The master bedroom has a king size bed, fitted wardrobe, chest of draws, two bedside cabinets, one of which has the flat screen TV on it and there is also a DVD in the room. The ensuite bathroom suite is white and has a glass shower cubical, basin and toilet. There is also an extractor fan in this room.
The third bedroom is used as an office. There is a desk with a monitor on it and printer should you wish to connect to it. I also keep my hairdryer in here as there is a very large mirror in this room.
There is an airing cupboard in the landing that houses the water tank.
The whole property is light, airy and modern. The garden is south facing and full of colourful shrubs (in the Spring and Summer). The property has free, high speed wifi.
The front garden is laid to grass and there is a driveway to park in.
The nearest main train station is a 20 minute drive (Worle, Weston Super Mare) and links to Central London (a 3 hour journey). Bristol airport is a 20 minute drive from here.
