About our home

The Boathouse is set in 15 acres of woodland,beside a beautiful 65 acre lake,The Great Pool,all this is totally private.The property is surrounded by a high wall.This grade 2 building was extended in 2011 and has made a comfortable living space.The glass sliding doors offer up lovely views across the lake and decking to the waters edge.Droitwich is a small town,with many half timbered buildings and well situated for many day visits out.


More about us

  1. We are a retired couple,who enjoy active holidays.We love skiing and ideally would love to swop so we can have a Swiss winter holiday.

  2. Our house is available thorough out the year,not just the winter.

  3. Taking our grown-up children on holiday is something we enjoy.

Buzzy restaurants
Crown and Sandy's.Public house in local village of Ombersley.Good modern food,huge log fires in the winter.
Cool bars
Worcester has a wide selection of bars and clubs.
Cozy cafés
Checketts Deli,for coffee or afternoon tea.They is also an excellent butchers counter and fishmongers.
Retail therapy
Worcester offers a lovely selection of privately owned shops in the streets known as The Shambles.With interesting half timbered builing and a wide walking street.Cheltenham is 35 mins away,Montpelier is an elegant shop area.Broomfields a good local farm shop.
Bit of culture
Local National Trust property is Hanbury Hall,lovely gardens and interesting house.
Walks in the park
This ones easy just open the door and step outside.Walk in to town along the recently restored canal tow path.
Spot of exercise
Ask the ski club here at The Great Pool and learn to water ski.
Day tripping
Many places of are in easy reach,Warwick Castle,Malvern Hills,Birmingham Museums and art galleries.Witley Court has magnificent fountains,the house is an elegant ruin with a fabulous history.
