Our home is located in the centre of Scotland, in historic Dunblane.
There is public transport direct to the city from Edinburgh and Glasgow airports. The mountains are an easy drive, an both Edinburgh and Glasgow are less than an hour on the train, or historic Stirling is 10 minutes on the train,
Dunblane is surrounded by walking, cycling and canoeing including a walk up Dumyat hill, that gives you spectacular views of the Forth and lowland Scotland.
Further trips include heading into Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park (30mins+ drive), into the 'real' Highlands by a drive up the A9 to Loch Tay, Glen Lyon or Drummochter pass (1hr), or for a big day out 2.5hrs will get you to the coast with day trips on ferries to islands or 2hrs will get you to the Cairngorm national park, with its vast views and Caledonian pine forests.
The house has three bedrooms upstairs and one downstairs. There is a lounge/dining room, large kitchen and rear sunroom as well. It is located in a quiet residential street, with a large garden. It is a modest, practical house that is suited to families.
We have two supermarkets and a high street of traditional shops in Dunblane, as well as many places to eat out for dinner and evening meal.
