About our home

We have a 3 bedroom bungalow on about 1 acre in a small farming community close to the centre of the lovely Scottish Borders and the five Abbeys. Central heating and open fire with coal or logs. Master bedroom with ensuite. Farmhouse kitchen. Full Internet and laptop, large TV, Xbox and games (we have two boys). Bikes available. The house is well furnished and fully fitted with everything you need to enjoy your stay and our home

The house is one of only about 8 in a small hamlet 5 minutes from the village of Earlston where there are shops. The area is called The Eildons due to the distinct volcanic hills and is famous for the Borders Abbeys and Sir Walter Scott the author. There are lovely walks and super views across the Borders to Northumberland. Buses do stop but only 4 a day. You need a car and we have a 7 seater VW Sharan available.

I am retired and I live with my wife and two boys 12 and 14. We love cooking and walking and like the sea. The house has many books.
