About our home

Our house is is a spacious Victorian property in one of London's best neighbourhoods East Dulwich. It has lots of light and has a large open plan kitchen/living room plus two separate reception rooms. The living room opens out onto a large well stocked garden complete with secluded terraced dining area and barbeque. There is also a summerhouse with extensive library which sleeps two in our garden.
One of the bedrooms boasts French windows opening onto its own terrace overlooking the garden.
Downstairs has a separate toilet and shower and there is a woodburning stove in the main living area. Our house has featured as a location on TV but principally it is a comfortable family home. We are currently installing a brand new kitchen.

Where is it?

East Dulwich is a peaceful green enclave yet the city centre is in easy reach either by car or public transport. Our road has many friendly neighbours who will help you, it's a family orientated place and a large park is within a few minutes walk. There are other parks and even woodland very nearby. You can explore around here, take a walk through Dulwich Park to the art gallery in the village and there are tons of specialist shops, organic butchers and greengrocers, boutiques and even a traditional sweetshop! This area is renowned for its many great restaurants such as traditional English (even an upmarket fish and chip restaurant!) and many Thai, Indian, Italian and French restaurants. You can eat in a different one each day! There are lots of lovely cafes, bars and some nice traditional English pubs, many serving food and where you can sit outside in summer months. There is a bustop at the end of our road where a bus will take you right to the heart of London. We are well placed for exploring the Kent and Sussex countryside in the south and even the lovely buzzing places on the south coast such as Brighton. From here you can easily get the train to Paris or from the coast get the ferry over either for a day trip or a few days visit to France. This is a great base for a relaxing break yet with London's art galleries, museums, theatres on your doorstep.
