About our home

- Looking for a year-long swap to Berlin, Germany (from now to July 2020, Wilmersdorf or Schoeneberg)

The home:
Sunny 4th (and top) floor flat in a quiet cul de sac, in a historically listed tenement of Edinburgh Old Town.
Pine floors, traditional white sash windows (fully double glazed).
Large sunny kitchen with a wooden, four meters long counter and expansive views over Mac Ewan's hall dome.

Two bathrooms (with tap mixers and plenty of hot water), one with bathtub, shower and sink, and a separate second bathroom with toilet and sink.

Well sized main bedroom with large double bed and storage.

(Extra, usually kept locked, but could be made available on request: Second bedroom with IKEA bunk bed 90x200 cm, suitable for 6 years +, desk area underneath, a sofa and plenty of space to play).

Large living room with two sofa beds, large desk and flat screen TV (DVD player, cables to connect your laptop, Chrome key, but no TV decoder).

Pretty shared garden, with wooden benches, table & barbecue.

The area:
In the heart of the Unesco listed Old Town, a five-minute walk from the Royal Mile and a ten-minute walk to Edinburgh castle.
Exactly where all the Edinburgh Fringe Festival action is (the largest festival on earth) and yet magically quiet.
5 min from the Meadows park's free golf course. 10 minutes walk from the majestic Arthur's seat hill.
And yet more than a dozen bus lines and three supermarkets within 200 meters.
Just across the road from the historical University of Edinburgh George Square campus, founded in 1583.
