About our home

Our beautiful 3 storey home was built in 1865 and completely renovated in 2007. We have a wealth of living space: play room with lots of toys, a separate pool room and a garden room. The play room and pool room both have sofa beds. There is a master bedroom and 3 attic rooms for our children. Plus a study (that can sleep extra people/children) and a utility room. On each floor of the house there is a WC, our main bathroom is on the 1st floor and there is a shower room on the top floor.
There is a small garden and we are less than 200m from "The meadows" an extensive open space to enjoy tennis, pitch and putt and 2 children’s playgrounds.
Our house is a 15/20 min walk to Edinburgh's Royal Mile, Edinburgh Castle, Arthur's Seat and Holyrood Park.
A 10 minute lovely walk across the Meadows brings you to the newly renovated Museum of Scotland which is free for visitors, a little further and there are several other museums and galleries.
Edinburgh has city beaches within 15 min car ride from our house or lovely beaches along the East Lothian coast Gullane, North Berwick are around 30/40 mins in the car. East Lothian has several famous golf courses and within Edinburgh there are several excellent courses.
If you wish to venture further afield the highlands are just over 1.5hrs drive north.
We have a 7 seater car and our house is a approx 25 mins from the airport.
