“We had a lovely time in greater Manchester. The house is quirky, lovely garden. Very comfortable bed. Lots of space, We were so close to the tram line which was brilliant for Manchester Altringham . We walked everywhere, lovely eateries. Jacky had given us great ideas where to eat what to do etc very welcoming with wine bread and food for us. We hope to visit again We went to Harlow Carr in Harrogate highly recommend Thank you both for allowing us to stay in your lovely house”
“Thanks Jacky for a brilliant long weekend. Great house for our family, right by the tram stop for the city, but leafy and quiet. Jacky was a brilliant host. We hope to return!”
“We had a great stay at Jacky's home, plenty of space for us and our extended family. Jacky was easy and friendly to deal with . Thank you Jacky ”
“Eclectic feel house with spacious bedrooms and plenty of parking. Lovely and clean upon arrival with a thoughtful note and welcome bottle of wine. Very well equipped kitchen and living space. We enjoyed relaxing as a family with the wood burning stove on, while playing board games and reading books from the small library. ”
“Jacky and Keith were delightful guests to have to stay. They absolutely made the most of exploring the local area on foot and by bike. They treated Little Wooda with respect and left it spotlessly clean. Would recommend them as guests to all hosts. ”
“Jacky was a perfect guest and the house was left nice and tidy. ”
Where is it?
Chorlton and neighbouring Didsbury has many independent shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. We have a good butcher, delis, fish shop, bakeries and vegan cooperative and many coffee bars, cafes, eateries and bars. There is a monthly makers market in Chorlton or try the famous Altrincham market.
We have a local park with tennis courts and play area and meadows, good for a Sunday stroll after brunch on Beech Road. We are two minutes from the tram that can take you into the city centre for culture, retail and restaurant experiences. The city has a thriving independent quarter with European style food market.
We are 15 minutes from the airport and have easy access to country parks and walks and pubs. We are close to the football ground and Lancashire cricket ground.
Manchester has many arts and food festivals. Try the famous biannual MIF or Christmas markets.
