About our home

A stunning beamed cottage built in 1750 and totally renovated throughout to an extremely high standard. One of the prettiest and best kept listed building in Cambridgeshire. The property has a self contained beamed barn and exceptional tended gardens of almost half an acre with a huge patio area. There are four bedrooms and three bathrooms .The dining room and living room have a walk around inglenook fire place with old red brick surround. The entire downstairs has been renovated to expose all beams.

The cottage is situated opposite the village green and there are no houses in front of it giving it almost total seclusion .Situated down a no through road there is no traffic noise and there are two pubs within walking distance- one only 100 yards away serving typical English fayre

The neighbourhood is extremely quiet as it is a small agricultural village .There is a regular bus service to Cmabridge and St ives,a small market town six miles away.It is conveniently situated to London - the train station is only five miles away in Huntingdon.Apart from the two village pubs there are pleantly of restauraunts in St.Ives and Huntingdon serving lots of different cusine

I am an Assistant Director for local government.I live alone my children having finished school and left home- My son is a lawyer and my daughter studying at university.I am interested in home decor, gardening and cooking.I also love the cinema and walking .I play Bridge at least twice a week and have travelled extensively round the world.
