About our home

We have recently split our house into two. The 2 bedroomed half is available to swap / rent any time. Both bedrooms are on-suite. The views over the valley towards Chatsworth House are spectacular and large French windows in the lounge lead onto a south facing patio. There is plenty of room for parking on the large drive at the front of the house. Eyam is in the heart of the Peak District National Park - a picturesque village steeped in 17th century history. The village has a number of cafes (delicious homemade cakes), quant pubs (one with unbroken views across the National Park), greengrocers and village store (which is open till 8pm most nights. A friend from Cameroon does delicious African takeaways or sit-in evening meals in her kitchen. There are numerous places to visit - historic houses, limestone caverns, Gulliver's Kingdom (children's theme park), Buxton spa town, Bakewell (famous for its puddings). The area is loved by climbers (Pure Outdoors offers climbing courses within walking distance of Eyam), hill walkers, cyclists, cavers, people interested in history, geology or simply having a relaxing time in beautiful surroundings.
