About our home

Our large comfortable detached house is surrounded by a mature gardens in which to relax and watch the plentiful bird life and it is located in a market town with good rail and road links to major places of interest like Stratford on Avon with its famous theatres and places of interest like Shakespeare's birthplace and Anne Hathaway's cottage. London is readily accessible by train or road within an hour. The UK's second city, Birmingham, with concert halls and canalways and its Jewelry district and good shopping opportunities is only 25 minutes by train. The Lake district and Peak district, which offer good walking and sightseeing, are also only an hour or two's drive away. ( we can arrange a car swap if needed).
Rugby is surrounded by different canal waterways for those with an interest in Canals and these also offer interesting walks. Warwick and Kenilworth Castles are within easy reach and a large number of stately homes, like Princess Diana's family home Althorp House, are accessible from Rugby. There are also numerous National Trust Houses and their wonderful gardens to visit.
The house is situated on a quiet road in an established residential area but within walking distance of the town centre and close to local shops and cafes. A well known large public school where the game of Rugby started gives the town its character with interesting buildings, among them the home of the war poet Rupert Brooke whose father was a housemaster at the school.
Other towns of interest like Coventry, the City of Culture in 2021, and Leamington Spa with it's gracious Recency buildings are only a few miles away.
