About our home

Comfortable, spacious family home within walking distance of traditional market town. House comprises of large family lounge with traditional styled character fireplace, 48in flat screen TV, satellite channels, Wii console & games; separate dining room seating six, piano and child size guitar; computer room/snug with 47in TV and sofa, wifi broadband internet access for your laptop and wifi printer; utility room/WC with washer & dryer; fully equipped kitchen including dishwasher, microwave, hob, oven etc; to the first floor, main family bathroom including shower; three good sized bedrooms all with own TV's, (2 childrens rooms each have own playstation 3 with games, also many toys and board games). Patio with furniture where morning and evening dining is particularly pleasant. Traditional BBQ. Ample off street parking.

Modern, comfortable family home, in quite safe location, perfectly situated as a base to explore all that England has to offer.

  1. We are John and Corinne, we are a hard working married couple and have run our own demanding business for the past 22 years. We have two children 10 and 12, they are well behaved boys who love to travel. We are looking for a different experience than the usual "tourist" might have and believe that home exchange offers the opportunity to provide a unique experience for the whole family. We enjoy independent travel and taking ourselves "off the beaten track" but with the amenities that we are used to at home. We are non-smokers. At home we like to relax with the family and spend time enjoying the countryside and some of the many local attractions.

    It goes without saying that we would treat your home with the up most respect and the same would be expected in return.

Where is it?


Rural area with good network links to Lake District national park (1hr), Fylde coast (30 mins), Yorkshire Dales (11/2 hrs), cultural centres of Liverpool, Manchester etc (45 mins), ferry terminal (30 mins) to Ireland/ Isle of Man etc, train service from Preston or Lancaster only 20 mins away to London (21/2 hrs), Scotland & Wales (2hrs) via motorway. Local amenities include, supermarkets, swimming pool, market, leisure center, pubs/restaurants, canals, golf courses, country walks and much more.

During late August, the local community has an "arts week" where many local events take place in and around the town centre.

Garstang is a quaint market town with a unique characrter, it is the 1st FAIR TRADE town in England.
