About our home

We offer a charming, spacious, bright town house in the heart of the very cool and trendy Westend of Glasgow.

The house has lots of traditional features such as; corniceings high ceilings and a wood burner. The house lies on a quiet square, over looking our communal gated gardens. This is a lovely place to hang out in when the weather is good; pic nicks, read the paper or let the children run off some steam. No through traffic makes this a calm and safe place to live.

Our home is not designed to rent out and therefor you hopefully will get a warm, comfortable and relaxed experience here in Glasgow. The house it self does not promise clean straight lines, nor minimalism, if this is what you are looking for read no further...

What we can promise you in buckets is of charm and character. Our home is designed for entertaining, chilling and to be a perfect family home. Our deco is some what full on, in the way of plenty of eclectic art on the walls, mis matching furniture along side warm lighting..

I should also point out that it's a large house and by no means perfect, it may have some wear and tear, drawings where there shouldn't be such as on the walls and floor in places. I guess this comes with having a large house and three little boy's.. but if you can get passed that, it promised sophistication, comfort and fun with a bit of luxury.. the perfect family home.

More about us

  1. We are Cori and Jake and are in our early 40's, we have three beautiful boys Louis 8, Milo 5 and Jonah 3.

Jake is a 'self employed film editor' and I am currently at home with the children, i love interior design. We enjoy good food, the country side as well as urban life style.

We have never done a swap before. What a great idea!

But I can't help to imagine what doors something like this can open.. and we would be open minded to visit anywhere if the right place came up. who knows what the future may hold? For us it is not about exchanging like for like, but experiencing something new and different.

I think we would be more comfortable in a not too precious home, with lots of expensive crystals and precariously balancing sculptures.. as we are a family with three small boy's.. although they are good and well behaved they do have energy and it would be nice to be able to relax a little. Not to say that we wouldn't be able to handle a nice home and we would be respectful and very careful of your home and take good care of it.

Our home is quite hardy if not a bit rough around the edges and can take a little bit of living and is therefore the perfect family home. Don't be fooled by glossy pictures. But that is the way we like it.

We look forward to exploring a little.

Where is it?

Every thing you can wish for is walking distance away from here. Within minutes you are on a bustling road full of shops, cafes, dellies and bars, and if you want to go further a field the tube or buses are only 2 mins away.

There is so much to see and experience in Glasgow; Art galleries, exciting architecture (old as well as new). Beautiful parks to hang out in, such as the kelvin grove park or the famous botanical gardens which are both a 10 min walk away along the river. Fantastic shopping for vintage clothes or boutiques.

You can walk into the centre of Glasgow or take the tube in, which obviously offer every thing you could desire.

But to be quiet honest it is so charming in our neighbourhood that you might just not bother. It depends what you are after.

A little further a field 50 min train journey away you'll find Loch Lomond, the largest freshwater Scottish loch, lying on the Highland Boundary Fault. And probably has every activity you can wish for such as water sports, fishing, boat trips bathing cycling, walking, camping. Not to mention the breath taking highlands!
