Glasgow is MUSIC and ARTS/Creative city and is very popular for small and big music events in the Hydro, (5 mins away), Bellahouston Park (5 mins away) as well as the Royal Concert Halls (15 mins), Hampden Park (10 mins) etc.
Conde Naste reports Glasgow is one of the finest Victorian cities in Britain and the largest city in Scotland. Recently reinvented with new concert halls, art galleries and festivals as well as new stores, bars and hotels, it makes a great city-break. It is also Scotland's main centre for shopping. You can be in the Scottish Highlands within 1 hour, either Central Highlands or West Highlands where you can take ferries to all of Scotland's beautiful islands and perfect beaches. The islands close to Glasgow include Arran and Cumbrae and Milport are 25 mins drive to the ferry.
Served by iconic Underground (or subway) which takes you to all parts of the city. Subway is 5 mins walk from flat. A lovely park, Elder Park is located less than 5 mins walk, as is the riverside. During the Summer months, a free ferry operates taking you across the River Clyde to the bohemian and leafy West End of Glasgow. Excellent local facilities nearby. Europe's largest newly built hospital is located less than 5 mins drive away which also houses the brand new children's hospital.
The area is also perfectly located for access to all of Scotland's major transport networks including Central Station (subway stop is St Enoch - 10 mins) and for trains to Scotland, UK and Europe), Queen Street Station (Buchanan St subway stop) for trains to Edinburgh and the rest of Scotland and beyond.
