About our home

Our beautiful home was originally a farmhouse dating back to 1751. The property was renovated in 2011 and is fully modernised. The interior has stunning stone walls and wood burning stoves which are spectular to sit in front with a nice fire side drink. We have a large back garden with stunning views of the wildlife and greenery. Double doors from the dining room lead to a lovely garden patio. The location is ideal as we have stunning Loch Lomond and the Trossachs within easy reach in our car and the excellent local train service can take you to Edinburgh within forty minutes and Glasgow in just ten minutes.

The house is very spacious with four good sized bedrooms. Two of which are en-suite and a family bathroom all upstairs. We have a large dining room/sitting area. Fully equipped kitchen with double range cooker and a built in seating area. Ideal for family brunch!

Our snug has a real cosy feel and is the ideal space to sit by the fire and read a book or listen to music. The second living room is a large room which we use as a tv room. Great for watching movies and relaxing as a family. We also have a kids playroom/office and a downstairs bathroom.

As the property is relatively new everything is in excellent condition and very comfortable to make your stay a memorable one! The large garden has a vegetable patch which sits under a beautiful Apple tree. We have recently added a stunning rockery with a water feature which is very peaceful to sit by. There is a kids play area which is completely safe and has a trampoline, playhouse and swing/slide.

The surrounding fields host a large selection of wildlife including deer, horses, hares and stunning birdlife to watch from either the arbor at the bottom of the garden or simply enjoy the stunning views from the comfort of the house!

There is so much to see and do within the local area, you really will be spoilt for choice!. Whether your preference historic sightseeing, shopping/eating out in Glasgow or Edinburgh, sampling Scotland's stunning lochs, mountains and castles, or simply using your vacation to relax, our house would be an ideal place to stay!

We have lovely neighbours who would be a great assistance should you require any help during your stay in our welcoming home. Your are welcome to use our 7 seater Land Rover Discovery car to get around. We have had three home swaps which have all been great experiences! We look forward to travelling to different destinations and meeting new friends along the way! So please just let us know if you have any questions about our home or our Bonny Scotland.
