About our home

Luxury two bedroom spacious, ground floor apartment with terrace just ten minutes walk from central Oxford. Located off famous Walton Street in popular Jericho OX2 alongside the Oxford canal. A stylish modern apartment with underfloor heating that includes Netflix TV, iPlayer and Amazon Prime Video plus good WiFi. Comfortable outdoor arm chairs on the beautiful private terrace look out over a dramatic iron statue. This stunning piece of modern art celebrates the fact that the development has been built on the former Eagle Works Iron Foundry alongside the Oxford Canal. The terrace overlooks the communal piazza in this gated 'Lucy's' development. The apartment is a ten minute walk to central Oxford along trendy Walton Street - or along the Oxford canal. This also leads, after a 15 minute walk, to the Oxford railway station for trains to London or into the Cotswolds. The apartment is in a secure gated community which is quiet and near to local restaurants and cafes, as well as a three minute walk from the local arts cinema (The Phoenix Picturehouse). It is also just five minutes from beautiful rural Port Meadow for country walks along the Thames river path to the Perch and Trout pubs. A stay includes the option to use a convertible Mini Cooper automatic car (made in Oxford!) which is parked in the private underground car park. Alternatively there may be use of the parking space in this secure garage if the car is not available. The apartment has home gym equipment including a rowing machine, dumbbells, a kettle bell and exercise bands. A bike shop is just 50 yards away for bicycle rental or for bike tours of Oxford. Bedroom one has a king size bed and ensuite toilet and shower room. Bedroom two is both an office and a second bedroom with a single 2' 6" wide trundle bed, with a second single bed that rolls out from underneath. It therefore has the option to extend into a twin or double bed (or you can move the second single trundle bed into the living room for the night for more space and privacy). In addition there is an (electrically reclining) large leather sofa in the living room as well as a reclining leather armchair plus dining table and chairs. There is a large family bathroom with both a bath and shower. The apartment is owned by a single female local doctor who is looking to swap directly or for points, usually, travelling with a friend or two, or her sister, with no children or pets. For points swaps a cleaning fee will be charged, No pets (apart from guide dogs) are allowed in the apartments in this development but children are welcome. She is looking for both city breaks in the UK and around the world, as well as the opportunity to spend time in nature - walking, cycling, canoeing or kayaking or just relaxing.

Trips to Canada and New Zealand at some point are planned as well as returning to France - and I am open to visiting most places in Europe. I am flexible and open minded to any suggestions for swaps.

Please do get in touch to discuss if you are interested in staying in this lovely apartment.
