About our home

One of the leading architects of the era, Joseph Kaye, designed and built the property as his own residence in around 1830 in the romantic rural Italian style, and it features striking architectural features such as buttress walls, balconies, a central tower with roof garden and an octagonal cupola tower inspired by the Tower of the Winds in Athens.
Inside, there is ample living space, with 6 bedrooms and 7 bedrooms, while outside there is off-road parking as well as secluded, mature gardens on three sides of the property.
The house has been renovated to a very high standard, and contains many of its original features, including the Wedgewood fireplace in the main lounge, the veranda windows, and the coloured sash windows in the cupola room, which is accessed by an external corridor.
The property is well-located in a private and elevated position, and the roof garden and several of the main rooms look down towards the sea over the picturesque historic town.
Hastings is situated on the East Sussex coast, around 40 miles east of Brighton. London can be easily reached by train, and the journey takes just under 1 hour 30 minutes.
The Cupola feels much like a small castle, and ranks among some of the most important buildings in the region. This property is a fabulous opportunity not to be missed.
