“Lovely Home in Hastings, perfect spot to enjoy all the seaside town has to offer. Louise was so helpful and easy to communicate with. The house was large and comfortable and the back garden area with lavender and bumble bees was a lovely place to unwind with a great sea breeze.”

“We had the most amazing stay at Louise’s beautiful home in Hastings in July! We were two families of 4 and the house worked perfectly for us. The home itself was absolutely stunning and cozy, the location was perfect (short walk into town for groceries, restaurants, shops) and there is so much to do along the south coast in and around town. We took a boat tour along the Channel to see the Seven Sisters (our highlight!), did a day trip over to Brighton, visited the local arcade on the pier with the kids (their highlight!), wandered the beautiful shopping streets, and enjoyed fantastic local seafood. Louise is an incredible host, communication was very easy and she was always very responsive. I would highly recommend a stay in Hastings, thank you again Louise!!”
“We had a fantastic stay in Louise's place. The house itself is beautiful and equipped with everything you'd need. Communication was simple and straightforward and made for a really relaxing time. I'd highly recommend Louise's place for a swap. Thank you Louise!”
“This was our first Love Home Swap experience and we were a little nervous with what to expect. We couldn't have had a better swap experience. Louise looked after us every step of the way! This house is a classic elegant home. You can tell that every effort has been made to make it beautiful. The rooms have gorgeous high ceilings, are painted in lovely Farrow and Ball colours, and have original features such as high skirting boards, cornicing, ceiling roses. It's so pretty, and as previous swappers have said, the photos do not do it justice. I was worried that I would want to clean a little when I arrived, as you never know if what you think is clean, it may not be what someone else thinks is clean. However, the house was absolutely spotless when we arrived, with plenty of towels left out for us, so there was no need to worry. We were a family of 4 and we could have easily brought another family with us. The children were so excited to have a king-sized bed all to themselves. There was so much space! It's also quite minimalist, there is not a lot of stuff around, no trinkets etc, which actually is a relief when you have small children as we did. Hastings is a bit of a hidden gem. Louise left a house guide out detailing some of the local attractions. There seemed to be so much going on. Hastings Old Town has winding streets crammed with Tudor houses, coffee shops, independent shops and bars. After a morning on the seafront, we spent the afternoon in the cafes and independent shops of George Street. It is pedestrianised do perfect if you have kids, dogs, or just fancy a bit of people watching. We were going to go to the independent Electric Palace Cinema, but the children said they wanted to go home and watch it on the projector in the living room. We did manage to go to the very cute flower making museum (£2 entry), who make the flowers for lots of big productions and movies (e.g. Titanic). All Saints Street has the most unusual houses, is so interesting to walk down, and has a nice pub for a drink (The Crown) and then we had Thai food at The Stag, further down the street. One of Louise's recommendations that we managed to do was to go to The Source Park, a disused swimming baths that has been transformed into one of the largest indoor skatepark in the World. We all loved going into the viewing area to watch people skate. There was so much to do, we didn't even get to go to the castle or the caves, so we have decided we will be coming back to Hastings. We all loved it. Louise is obviously an experienced swapper and made us feel relaxed in her home. This was such a lovely experience. Thank you Louise! ”
“We spent a fabulous time in Hastings and really enjoyed Louise's home. Communication couldn't have been easier and Louise went out of her way to ensure that we were comfortable. The property had a really lovely feel and being the middle of winter we appreciated the two fireplaces. The house was warm and the two bathrooms very modern and there was a well equipped kitchen too. Comfy beds as well which is important to us. The property is located in an elevated position so it was easy to walk into town via the steps but quite a climb back home. We found parking to be the only challenge but otherwise couldn't fault anything. Hastings old town is delightful with plenty of pubs, delicious fresh fish, independent shops and a great place for walks. We visited Brighton, Bexhill, Rye, Lewes and Battle - lots of pretty villages to explore and we couldn't believe how fast the time went! Thank you Louise for helping to make our stay so pleasant and comfortable and for communicating so well with us prior to our arrival in spite of the 8 hour time difference. ”
“We had a wonderful stay in Louise's house, We were a group of girls ( Local mums) enjoying a weekend away. We found the house very clean, stylish and centrally located great for exploring Old Hastings. The lovely rooms are all beautifully proportioned and clutter free. We loved the fish stalls down on the sea side front, The Jerwood Gallery, the lovely individual creative arty shops and local walks, the beautiful beach and all the fishing boats. The weather was very rainy and chilly, so we lit a fire in the sitting room and felt very cosy. Thank you Louise for welcoming us into your home. I can highly recommend Louise's house & Hastings ”

“This is a beautifully renovated home in the heart of Hastings - with attention to period features and stylishly decorated. The location is charming, sitting perched a little way above the town and sea. Louise could not have been more helpful for our trip to Hastings - she provided great Restaurant recommendations and checked in on us during our stay. The house is well equipped with everything you could want and more - such as a built in bathroom sound system with mellow lights! The house is so zen-like that we wondered if this really was her main home! There was also easy on street parking opposite the house. We had a wonderful time walking the coast path to return and relax in the gorgeous living room equipped with hi-tech cinema experience. Thank you Louise for the memories, your kindness and creating a swap that generated the warmth of the lovehomeswap experience. ”
“This truly is a beautiful home, and there was plenty of space for us all and everything we needed. Check in was easy, and the house was spotlessly clean and so well equipped, especially the kitchen and pantry. Every room had gorgeous high ceilings and so many original features, the photos do not do it justice! Location wise, the walk to the beach everyday past the quaint little houses & the park is a great way to start your day & the views are amazing. There is only 2 hours of free parking on the street but this was not a big issue as there is parking 50 yards away on other nearby streets, and the road is fairly quiet so it's easy to leave the car to unload if necessary. The area is lovely, very quiet and safe, with the historic old town and beach a short walk away. If you are coming with the kids, there is a playground on the West Hill and if you are coming with the dog, apart from the beach, there is Alexandra Park a short walk away which stretches 2.5 miles through the town, has a children's area, band stand, cute cafe, formal gardens and wilder northern woods and lake. It's beautiful. We really appreciated all the local amenities being so accessible on foot, but we were still far enough away for everything to be peaceful. Louise is a wonderful host and very easy to communicate with. Louise, thank you for sharing your lovely home with us. This was the first break we’ve had since the pandemic and our first home swap and it was a fantastic experience for us. A great swap, I would highly recommend. ”
“Great house in good location. Very clean and tidy and Louise was easy to communicate with. ”
“Simply beautiful, I had a wonderful and relaxing stay at Louise's home. The house is located on the hills of Hastings offering beautiful views across town and a glimpse of the sea, yet it is just minutes aways from the station, the charming old town, the beach and walks in the countryside. The home is newly renovated with plenty of space for everyone. I enjoyed evenings by the fire watching a movie or writing songs on the beach. If you are a creative soul looking for some peace and quiet from a big city, Louise's home is the perfect nest. On top of everything, Louise was very easy to communicate with and demonstrated to be an attentive, organised and friendly host. I can't wait to visit again soon!”
