We moved into our beautiful listed Georgian town house nearly 3 years ago and spent over 12 months fully restoring it into our home.
Although staying faithful to the Georgian style we have given the house a comtemporary feel with very light and neutral colurs and fittings.
The house is on 3 floors and now consists of 4 double bedrooms, 3 bathrooms (1 ensuite), fully fitted kitchen, sitting room and dining room, study and a large back kitchen/utility area. It also has a huge cellar at garden level ideal for storing cycles, canoes, BBQ etc
Outside there is a small enclosed courtyard a large garden and a wonderful deck with views over the river Wye.
The house comes with all modern conveniences; satallite TV, Broadband internet, DVD to name a view. We have 2 cars that are also available for exchange.
The town of Hay-on Wye sits on the English/Welsh border and although isolated it is well placed for exploring the country. I cannot do the area justice in only a few words so I recommend you take a look at the official website on www.hay-on-wye.co.uk
I (Johnny,43) am married to Catherine and we have 2 children, Carys (2) and Huw (8 months). As mentioned above we have lived here for nearly 3 years having moved from The Midlands in order to live a quieter lifestyle and to spend as much time with our children as possible. Catherine runs a small PR company from home specialising in Agriculture and I run the house as a small B&B April to October and spend the rest of the time running a small property maintenance company.
Our philosophy is to 'work to live and not live to work' so we spend as much time as possible with the kids and enjoying the amazing countryside that we live in, walking, riding, etc. We also have 2 horses stabled about 2 miles away available for exchange with access to some of the best riding in the country.
