About our home

our house is typical 1930s. It has lots of period features, large light rooms, and space to spread out. It has fields front and back and a gorgeous large interesting garden which is full of flowers and features, and even has a cabin in the orchard you can sleep or party in.
It is five minute's walk from a charming English village with plenty of pubs and eating places and some interesting shops and only a few miles from Stratford on Avon, Shakespear's home town, plus the historic towns of Warwick (with its castle) and Leamington Spa.

Where is it?

Buzzy restaurants
Henley boasts several very good restaurants which cover a wide variety of food: traditional English, Thai, Chinese, Indian
Cool bars
There are several excellent pubs and bars from the popular and trendy to several good old English pubs
Cozy cafés
Costas and The Bakery
Retail therapy
Henley is a small, upmarket town so shops reflect that
Bit of culture
We are in the middle of the Warwickshire countryside. Henley itself dates from the 10th century at least and it's building reflect a wide range of architecture from a 12th century church through Tudor, Victorian and Edwardian buildings. We are only 6 miles from Stratford on Avon home of Shakespeare and all around are old villages, stately homes, historical sites of interest and cultural richness.
Walks in the park
As we are rural there are walks aplenty. One of our favourites being over the Mount where the old Norman castle used to stand. Only three miles away is the very picturesque village of Tanworth with its village green and cosy pub
Spot of exercise
Apart from walking we have also have a local gym and tennis courts
Day tripping
Stratford on Avon of course but also the ancient beautiful town of Warwick with its magnificent castle and gallery of antique shops, as well as Leamington Spa a refined and gorgeous Spa town which is fabulous for shopping
