About our home

A beautiful converted chapel built in 1835 which we run as a bed & breakfast www.theriversidechapel.co.uk (we live in the cottage next door). Central to all tourist attractions & Hadrians wall Roman sites. Newcastle city & airport 30 minutes drive, fabulous beaches & "a castle every mile" on the coastline only 40 minutes drive. Historic Hexham & Corbridge only 5 miles away, with good selection of pubs & restaurants. We are a family of 3 ( 5 year old Henry) looking to swop the chapel for non consecutive or conseutive swop. We are in a tranquil spot with gardens stretching down to the river. seating terraces, deck & barbi areas to relax in & enjoy, & many local walks through beautiful countryside.
The Chapel itself is furnished with antiques & has a double & twin bedroom, with arched Georgian windows overlooking the river, both with ensuite bathrooms. To the rear of the cahpel is the sitting/dining area plus kitchenette.
The kitchenette is an Ikea "kitchen in a cupboard" with a 2 ring halogen hob, fridge, sink, microwave/fan oven/ grill. There is also a dishwasher.
Barbeque on deck adjacent to river for guest use & lots of pubs & restaurants within 2 - 5 miles.

Quiet & picturesque with lots of riverside walks & woodland for families to enjoy. 5 minutes drive to 2 local countryside pubs & 10 mins to local town.

My husband is a pilot & I run a B&B in the Chapel, working from home which is great as we have a 5 year old son Henry, who has just started school. My sister lives in New Zealand so we would be very interested in North Island swops, & due to the nature of my husbands job we love travelling & so are intersted in swops anywhere. We love good restuarants, having barbis with friends, the local theatre & cinema in Hexham, & theatre district in Newcastle.
