No pets except guide dogs. No fireworks due to the proximity of thatched houses. There is a limited amount of parking, fitting a maximum of 3 cars at a squash. The parking is on a slope, down the private driveway. The property is surrounded by beautiful walks and countryside.
There are 5 pubs within 5 miles, the nearest a mile away, all serve good food and can be reached whilst walking. In addition there are local shops, farm shops, tea shops and even a local farm with an old fashioned ice-cream parlour.
Within 2 miles of the cottage is Haldon Forest Park where you can walk or hire bikes for extensive forest trails. There are also extensive bridleways for riders. In the park is GoApe where you can (at certain times in the year) travel through the treetops - an amazing experience. For those coming to the south-west to get married, the cottage is within a short distance of three fantastic wedding venues; The Great Barn, Higher Ashton (a walk away past the church)

The south-west of England is blessed with fabulous food producers.
