About our home

We are close to central London as well as one of London's best parks, for long walks, wild swimming and tennis. London's culture is close by, with museums, theatres and galleries only a few stops away on the Tube.

Our house is spacious and light over 4 floors with a large garden. We live on a tree lined street, in a residential, with good restaurants, pubs and cafes nearby. We have 3 large double bedrooms and 2 single rooms for children. We have a large sitting room and dining room that runs the entire length of the ground floor. We have 3 bathrooms. We have a large garden (for London!).

Our street is wide and tree lined. Hampstead Heath is 5 minutes walk away where you can go for long walks through parkland or bathe in the ponds or play tennis. Hampstead Heath has a historic house (Kenwood House) with fantastic art work and lovely teas ( http://www.english-heritage.org.uk/visit/places/kenwood/). London's culture is close by, with museums, theatres and galleries only a few stops away on the Tube.

The closest tube is Tufnell Park Tube and we are a 5 - 7 minute walk from the Tube. If you prefer the bus, there is a bus stop a few minutes walk away.

We also have a 3 bedroom cottage, sleeping 5, in the Cotswolds, close to Statford upon Avon (Royal Shakespeare Company) if you fancy dividing your time between London, Statford upon Avon and the countryside.

Please note - if you have trouble with stairs, you may find the stairs down to the basement Kitchen in our London house a little steep (my 85 year old mother in law has started to struggle a little with them). If you are travelling as a multi-generational family then it may help to know that there is a double bedroom and shower room on the same floor as the kitchen, with easier access out of the house. Please don’t hesitate to ask me for more details.
