About our home

Large Edwardian family house wonderfully located in a very special part of London with incredible views of the city, just a few minutes stroll from Hampstead Heath - london's loveliest wild and green space with swimming ponds and a lido. Short bike or bus ride to Camden Town and Oxford Circus (right in the centre).
House is bathed in natural light and geared towards family life... very large family room, large garden, trampoline, hammock! Comfortable but not precious decor so you can relax. The estate (called the Holly Lodge) has it's own park and because our street is private it's very quiet and safe. You can hear lots of birds and there is lots of wildlife. The neighbour has beehives and makes honey yet the hustle and bustle and delights of central London are easy to get to.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

We live right next to Hampstead heath - London's loveliest wild park with playgrounds, Kenwood house (national trust) within the park and cafes and ponds dotted within it. Highgate village high street with pubs and shops is ten mins walk away. There are shops and cafes a couple of streets away on Swains Lane too. Hampstead village is a walk away over the heath. Both highgate and Hampstead are very famous, historic enclaves of north london, with interesting architecture. It's where lots of celebrities live as it's so nice and a little tucked away but central london is still very easy to get to.

Buzzy restaurants
Bull and Last (a lovely gastro pub) we like neighbourhood spanish restaurant del Parc
Cool bars
Southampton arms is the best pub around. If you want to dance best go to Camden or into central london. An quick cab ride home.
Cozy cafés
Gails is our nearest and does lovely freshly baked goods. The cafe at the Lido (swimming pool) on the heath is really good.
Retail therapy
Hampstead has nice shops - especially clothes and books. Oxford street is a bus ride away for all the big brands
Bit of culture
Too many to mention!
Walks in the park
All over the heath... also queens and highgate woods are lovely
Spot of exercise
Outdoors on the heath. There is also a wonderful 50m outdoor lido, ladies, mens and mixed swimming ponds. excellent cycling because of the hills - we'll leave our bikes for you!
Day tripping
Camden market, Hampstead village, the museums, museum of London, John Soanes house and our family 400 year old pub nearby
