“The most beautiful house - super comfortable and homely, designed beautifully, and equipped with everything we could possibly need. Madeline and Patrick were the perfect hosts, made everything easy for us, and gave us useful recommendations too. They couldn’t have been more helpful and generous. We loved the area - only 5 mins from the lovely town of Church Stretton with some great pubs, and right in the middle of stunning countryside, with easy access to lots of great walks. We had a lovely holiday here!”
Madeline's reviewsAs a host (5)
“My friend Nuala and I had a most wonderful stay. We did lots of walking, checking out the local area and wide selection of eateries! Madeline’s home was beautiful and comfortable. Everything you could possibly need during your stay plus peace and quiet ( only the sheep to wake you in the mornings). Would love to stay again Thank you. ”
“Madeline and Patrick were perfect hosts. The communication was excellent and it was wonderful to have a tour of the house when we arrived. The house is very comfortable and well equipped so it was very easy to feel at home quickly and get on with having our holiday. The view from the living area upstairs is exceptional. It is sheer pleasure to sit out on the balcony and absorb the peace and quiet. We had some wonderful walks into Church Stretton and up the Carding Mill Valley. The house is perfectly located for lovers of the outdoors. Madeline's recommendation of the ice cream shop in Church Stretton was spot on. We made a number of visits. The Ragleth Art Gallery in Church Stretton is well worth a visit. Ludlow market is great for a meandering exploration. Thank you Madeline and Patrick. We loved spending time in your beautiful home.”
“We had a very relaxing few days in Madeline and Patrick's beautiful home. We met them the first day so they were able to show us around. They are a lovely couple. The house was exceptional, in a beautiful position and the hospitality brilliant. Hope Bowdler was very nearby Church Stretton village and we had an interesting days visiting Cardingmill Valley and the Burway, Ludlow and Ironbridge. I would highly recommend this swap.”
“We had the privilege of being the first home swappers in Madeline and Patricks newly built home. It was a perfect experience and a welcome lockdown escape. We walked for miles each day from the house and visited Ludlow and Church Stretton. We very much enjoyed meals on the terrace with lovely views. Thank you for being such generous hosts and making us feel very much at home. ”
