About our home

Avochie is a traditional Scottish sporting estate on the River Deveron, in the rolling countryside of northern Aberdeenshire. The estate comprises the Victorian-era House of Avochie (sleeping 12 adults comfortably, plus 5 or 6 children), two and a half miles of salmon and sea trout fishings, and a thousand acres of woodland, farmland and pasture. The dining room can comfortably accommodate 16 for dinner, and with a library, morning room, conservatory and billiard room, the house is ideal for a large house party or family holiday. The house has a beautiful garden, a tennis court and lawns for croquet and archery. In the surrounding area, there are many historic castles and golf courses, and some of Scotlands most famous whisky distilleries. Avochie is also within easy reach of the Cairngorms National Park, some stunning beaches and fishing villages, and the world-famous cashmere centre of Johnstons of Elgin. See www.avochie.com for more details.
