“WOW - this was a fantastic LHS experience on every level. Margareta was the perfect host, communication and planning was easy, quick and clear. When you arrive at the house, you realise that no pictures you could put on the site could possibly do it justice, it's such a magical house, garden and location. The boys (aged 9 &12) said it was like staying in one those houses from an Enid Blyton Children's booked about secret gardens and the adventures they have. The house is a great place to relax, lots of space, the kids enjoyed watching a movie in the snug, while we relaxed listening to music & reading at the other end of the house in the magnificent lounge with the biggest fire place you are ever likely to see in house. On the sunny days the garden is a lovely place to linger, looking out across the kitchen garden and the unspoilt view of the south downs. It's so quiet and peaceful, yet a short drive to everything you need to keep 2 young boys active and happy. The house is perfectly located just a short drive from the seafront at Brighton, and also numerous other other beach locations - Rottingdean to the east & Seaford to the West, were personal favourites, as well as the street food restaurants and zip wire on Brighton Beach. Other great things to do, Stand up paddle boarding at Buzz Cuckmere,. Or without getting in the car - walking and adventures through the woods and up the hill to see the views of the coast and then walking back down the hill, grabbing a bottle of wine from the vineyard next door and home to enjoy it looking at the views and picking some veg and herbs from the kitchen garden, was a lovely way to spend a simple day. Nearby is the village is really quaint and very friendly, (3 min drive) for shops, pubs & restaurants. As a family we enjoyed the Plough, and the Jack & Jill mostly, If you are looking for a holiday location that allows you to be completely restful, or really active, or both this is the perfect spot. Thanks Margareta for sharing your home a giving us a memorable family holiday.”
“An absolutely stunning house in a wonderful location. Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to enjoy your gorgeous home in this superb suburb. Close to public transport, shops and parklands we felt that everything we needed was on our doorstep. We explored London thoroughly during our stay here and London was simply a short bus ride away and for me a short jog away. We really enjoyed the comforts of this large and very attractive home. It was warm and featured a great shower and very attractive living areas. The beds were extremely comfortable and there was much room for our kids to play and spread out in both inside and outside. This house had all the amenities you'd ever need and my family (which includes 3 kids) were very happy here. We loved the daily visits from the cat and we will miss her very much. She is the worlds friendliest cat who doesn't have a home. Thank you again. We loved staying here. 100/100. Best wishes, Kate, Penelope, Amelia, Maisy and Tommy. ”
