About our home

Our house is set back form the road and enjoys great views of the English Channel and beautiful Romney Marsh. South facing, it is bright and spacious, with a decking area and BBQ ideally placed for a peaceful lunch or dinner all fresco.
The wood burning stove in the lounge and original beams provide a cosy atmosphere after a walk in the local park(5 mins)or by the sea(1 mile)
There is a large modern kitchen, pantry, washing room, gym area and garage with bikes and golf clubs you may use.
Hythe is a popular holiday town with a full range of shops and restaurants within easy walking distance. Nearby Folkestone has just been voted the 6th "coolest" town in the UK, and Canterbury and Rye are stunning historic centres just 30 minutes away.
A Fabia can be made available by arrangement and local taxis are plentiful.

Where is it?

You can get to London by fast train from Ashford in 37 mins, and nearby Eurotunnel or Dover give easy access to France.

The area around Hythe is steeped in history and blessed with an array of attractions, not least, the Tudor town of Sandwich and the hilltop Cinque Port of Rye. Walmer Castle, the residence of the Lord Warden of the Cinque Ports, provides glorious gardens and memorabilia from the lives of Wellington and the Queen Mother.

Kent has numerous castles, stately homes and gardens that are all well worth visiting. Give yourself a full day to explore the castle at Dover – which provides fascinating insights into the Dunkirk evacuation and D-Day Landings and, of course, no visit to the county would be complete without a trip to Canterbury. A UNESCO World Heritage site, Canterbury is dominated by its world famous Norman Cathedral. You will also find two theatres, a selection of old-style restaurants and pubs and an absorbing mix of tourist attractions and household named stores that will satisfy all but the most demanding shopaholics (who, in turn, will get their ‘retail fix’ a little further afield – in Dartford’s Bluewater complex, which offers over 330 stores, bars, coffee shops and restaurants or in Westfield (beside a fast train stop in Stratford)
