About our home

In historic Holland Park and close to both Notting Hill and Kensington, our home is a great place to stay with family and friends and is perfect for kids, being located in a private square just minutes away from the beautiful Holland Park. Rare for the centre of London we have great outdoor space - as well as a patio garden, we have access to a beautiful communal garden outside our front door. Our newly renovated home has a large kitchen / dining / family room, separate living room, three double bedrooms (four bedrooms in total), and two bathrooms (one large en suite master bathroom and a second family bathroom, both with baths and separate showers). Our lovely cleaning lady comes three times a week. The house can accomodate up to 7 adults and 9 in total. A baby's cot and a toddler bed are available. The house is in a leafy private square, and is surrounded by trees.

The ground floor of the house is the family living area with kitchen / dining / family room (easily accommodating 8-10). This room has lots of toys as well as a TV / DVD player. Also on the ground floor is a utility room with cross trainer. The first floor of the house is given over to the living room (also with TV / blu ray player) with fireplace. This is a large room which faces both east and west with large windows on either side so lots of light. There is a double sofa bed in this room for occasional use. The large master bedroom suite, with dressing room and master bathroom takes up the entire second floor. On the third and top floor there are three bedrooms (2 doubles, one single) and a family bathroom. One of the double bedrooms has a single bed and the possibility of either another single bed or a queen bed. The other double bedroom has a double bed. The single bedroom can be equipped with either a cot or a toddler bed, and also has a single chair bed.

The house is perfect for kids and extended family with space for both. Bi-fold doors in the kitchen lead directly onto the patio garden, surrounded by trees. Outside the house are very well kept communal gardens and beautiful Holland Park, with three separate playgrounds, is a short walk around the corner.

The house is very central with the nearest underground stations at Holland Park and Shepherds Bush. It's within walking distance to Kensington High Street, Holland Park and Notting Hill. Also close by are the museums of South Kensington, Kings Road, Hyde Park and Knightsbridge (Harrods), and easy access to Oxford Street and central London. Westfield shopping centre, the largest in Europe, is a 10 minute walk away.

More about us

  1. We're a small family - Leanne and George (age 4) who sometimes like to travel with extended family.

  2. We've now made our summer travel plans for this year but our house is available for 2 weeks in August for a non simultaneous swap (for us to travel in December or over New Year). We enjoy weekend swaps in the UK or Europe at any time. We're also happy to start planning for 2015!

  3. Our ideal location for a swap is somewhere sunny, great for kids with not too much jet lag to worry about, and able to host 4 or more adults and 2 children. But we're also open to swaps where we can ski and finally, we love New York!
