300 year large cottage that has recently been renovated to a high standard with 4/5 bedrooms and 4 bathroom/shower rooms. We have a large open wood/ coal burning fire in the living room.
The "heart of the home" ie the kitchen is large with granite worktops and modern appliances, a breakfast bar style of seating and a leather sofa for chats whilst cooking. There is a seperate dinner room complete with piano!
Located a short walk away from Lenham Village, a Medieval village with restaurants, pubs and all local amenities. We enjoy country walks and bike riding in the area with plenty of pub stops.
The surrounding countryside is known as "The Garden of England", with apple orchards, fields, historic cities of Canterbury and beaches.
We are 40 miles from London and there is a train station close to our house.
We are 20 miles away from the ferry terminals to Europe. Day trips are possible on both the ferries and the train to France , even Paris!
Our neighourhood is quiet but has lots of local amenities such as restaurants, shops and lovely old country pubs, serving great food and beer.
If you enjoy golf, there are numerous golf course nearby. In the summer, you are approx 40 minutes from old fashioned beaches
There are numerous country walks in the surrounding area.
It is a short walk to the train station which will take you to London and historic Canterbury.
The local ferry posts and EuroStar train will take you to France in less than 2 hours.
We are Fiona and Tommy, Emily and Callum.
Tommy is an electrical project manager. Fiona is a sales director in the pharmaceutical market. Emily is 15 and Callum is 12.
We have lived in Lenham for 16years , having moved out of London and feel very much part of the community. We love the calm atmosphere of Lenham, but also are close enough for a night out or sight seeing in London.
