Beech Torr Farm house is a spacious barn conversion with 4 bedrooms, 2 living rooms, a farmhouse kitchen (with AGA) and dining area that accommodates 8 people. Upstairs the bedrooms comprise 1 king-size bed with en-suit shower and toilet, 2 double rooms and 1 single room. There is an additional shared shower/toilet room and a bathroom/toilet.
On the ground floor there are 2 living rooms one of which is equipped with a projector/cinema. The kitchen is equipped with electric hob, AGA, dishwasher, fridge and a granite work-top. Our utility room has 1 freezer, 1 fridge freezer and a washing machine. The downstairs toilet is located just of our boot room.
From the kitchen and from the dining area, french doors give easy access to our patio and large lawn. Our lawn has numerous shrubs and apple trees as well as a sizeable pond that is home (depending on the time of year) to moor hens, frogs and grass snakes.
The house is part of a 100 ac working farm which produces organic vegetables. There is also a small livery business in the yard next to the house. Generally the yard is quiet, with little farm machinery. It is certain though that someone will be tending our horses on a daily basis. However, because the farm house has its own private access, there is no intrusion on privacy.
Perfectly positioned in an area of outstanding natural beauty with miles and miles of National Trust coastal walks starting within one mile of the house at the glorious unspoilt Wonwell Beach. This wonderful area has a wealth of popular attractions such as Dartmoor, Salcombe, Totnes, Plymouth Hoe, Barbican and Aquarium plus much more. Local leasure activities include golfing, swimming, surfing, wind surfing and horse riding.
Dolphin Inn 0.5 miles, beach 0.75 miles, shop 2.25 miles, Modbury 4 miles.
My husband and I own an organic farm producing vegetables. I also run a small livery business. We spend most of our leisure time with our teenage children(16 & 18) who compete in show jumping, dressage and cross country in Devon. We are very enthusiastic animal lovers and in addition to our 4 horses we have a cat and 3 dogs.
As well as the farm and the livery we also have a barn conversion that we rent out to holiday makers and our final income stream come from my husband who works as a science teacher.
