About our home

We live in a 1 bedroom flat in heart of Kingston upon Thames. The bedroom is with a double bed and the living room has a comfy sofa bed, perfectly comfortable flat for a couple or a couple with one child. We have a living room with a fully fitted open plan kitchen.
Our home is a cosy warm and well equipped. It is a new build property with a brand new kitchen and bathroom. We just moved in in May 2014. No need to look after pets, plants or garden. We have a nice balcony with deck chairs with beautiful view towards Richmond Park, river Thames and London. We are on the top floor.
This area is ideal if you enjoy river walks and cycling as well as giving easy access to central London and the local area.

Kingston-upon-Thames is a very attractive market town. Being just 30mins from central London by train all the amazing sights and attractions of the capital are easily accessed. Kingston is also a great base from which to explore the South of England. We are 10 mins from Hampton Court, Bushy Park, 20 mins from Kew Gardens, 45mins from Windsor Castle, and 90mins from Oxford, Cambridge, and Brighton.
Kingston upon Thames has a large shopping centre with stores such as John Lewis, Marks and Spencer, Cinema and many many more. You could enjoy a nice bike ride along the river to Hampton court or Richmond.
We are within 45mins of 3 theme parks (Thorpe Park, Chessington World of Adventures and Legoland).
We are also a 15 mins walk from Richmond Park - the biggest open space in London, and 1 minute walk from the river Thames. We're 2 minutes’ walk from shops, cafes, restaurants, good pubs and bars, a farmers market, and the train station.

We are Eva and Richard, a Hungarian - English couple with no kids. We are both professionals (manager and engineer) and enjoy travelling when able to get away. We have not done a home exchange before but are keen to try what sounds a great way to see another country as a resident - and allow someone to see yours. We would expect to arrange an exchange some way in advance in order to get to know our fellow exchangers via email first to see how best we can facilitate their stay in the UK.
