The house is on a cul-de-sac and at the back is woodland and walks by the riverside which lead into the town centre. A children's play-park is only minutes away from the house. It is 10 miles to the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, The Yorkshire Dales and the route of the Grand Depart / Tour de Yorkshire. There are lots of walking and cycling routes locally.

There are many tourist attractions such as the Waterside where there is boating on the river Nidd, Mother Shipton's Cave, our lady of the Crag and St Robert's cave.
Knaresborough also has a castle which is a 12th Century ruined fortress overlooking the river Nidd.
The town has a train station and the line runs between Leeds and York. The neighbouring town is the spa town of Harrogate which is also on the same train line. Harrogate boasts a thriving Arts and Cultural scene including a host of private galleries, theatres and various festivals.
