About our home

Decorated with stylish and contemporary furnishings, the house consists of a large living room, with an open log fire and plasma tv with dvd player, for cosy nights in the winter... and sliding french windows onto a decked patio, for those warm (fingers crossed!) summer evening barbeques!

Also on the ground floor you will find a modern, fully equipped kitchen, an intimate dining room for 8 people, and a utility room with washer, dryer and drinks fridge.

Upstairs houses 2 double bedrooms with plasma tvs, and one single... with a modest, fresh looking bathroom with an over head power shower and bath.

Outside you will find parking for up to 3 cars, in a private drive, a garage, with bikes and fishing tackle for guests use, and barbeque/outdoor seating, loungers for the garden/decked area.

There is wi-fi connection throughout

Our home is a lovely 10 minute walk from the centre of the village of Whalley, where you will find all amenities: local butchers, newsagents, supermarket, pubs, coffee shops, chemist, library, boutique shops and restuarants/takeways to suit all tastes!

The village is famous for its Abbey, built in the 1300s, which is open for tours and lunches, situated by the River Ribble, which runs right through the village. The picteresque arches provide a train transport link to all nearby towns/cities and the bus links are frequent from the centre.

Near to Whalley you will find the surrounding villages of the splendid Ribble Valley - the Queens favourite place in the world, where she owns an estate in the gorgeous village of Whitewell. The Lake District is close by, as are other cities such as Manchester, Leeds and Liverpool...

Paul and Shirley, have just reached their 50's (eek!) and work full time in graphic design and healthcare management respectively...
Paul owns his own company, but also keeps busy enjoying fishing, biking and music, whilst Shirley enjoys to keep fit at the local gym and tennis courts, shopping and travel... we both enjoy cooking, entertaining friends/family at the weekend.
Their daughter Alexis, 25, also lives in the village, and is in the process of setting up her own music PR company - so can advise you on a good night out!
We would like a car exchange - for a brand new BMW hatchback
We also have two cats - Herbie and Maltilda so would appreciate cat lovers - if not we can arrange for alternative cat accomodation!
