About our home

*NO EXCHANGES ‘TIL SPRING 2020*
Our's is a very comfortable 4 bedroom family home right on the edge of Greenwich Park with great transport links to Central London and easy road access to the countryside of Southern England.
We have a large sitting room and spacious kitchen dining room with French windows onto our 80ft garden plus a downstairs WC.
We have one double bedroom upstairs, two children's bedrooms (with 1x single high sleeper bed & 1x single bed) plus small guest room with a single bed which can be turned into a double if necessary (please request in advance) There's also a playroom/ study downstairs which provides extra space and be turned into a bedroom if you let us know in advance. We have one bathroom with a bath and shower.
One of the unique features of the house is a belvedere room on the roof allowing access to the roof terrace which has AstroTurf covering the entire space, and an outdoor dining and lounge area. There are the amazing views across the river Thames, the Royal Park and the whole of London from all the front facing rooms as well as from the roof terrace which enjoys the most spectacular of views of all.
The garden has a slides, a trampoline, a children’s playhouse and plenty of space to play.
We have a television with freeview, wifi access, central heating, a log burning stove, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, microwave, barbeque, garden furniture and lots of kids toys!
We are really proud of our home and the beautiful area we live in.

More about us

  1. We are a busy family with both parents working in Central London. Our girls are aged 13 and 11 and are at local schools. We have lovely neighbours who will make you very welcome. We'd love to offer our home for a holiday swap to people who will take good care of it and enjoy the amazing location. Please note that we don't smoke and regretfully, can't accept pets due to family allergies.

  2. Carolynne is a director of a large UK cancer charity and Richard works for an overseas education charity. We both work part time in order to balance work and family life.

  3. We love to explore historic locations, and enjoy swimming and paddle boarding at nearby beaches, river and lakes.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

We are right next to Greenwich's beautiful Royal Park, host to London's Olympic Equestrian Event and site of the National Maritime Museum, The Royal Observatory and The Queen's House.
Greenwich has many restaurants, shops, a famous market and is also home to the celebrated Cutty Sark tea clipper and the beautiful Painted Hall and Chapel of the Old Royal Naval College on the river side.
The 02, the UK's premiere music venue, is 5 minutes away by bus. There are 3 cinemas within minutes of the house and a public swimming pool, gym and fitness centre 5 minutes away. The park has open air tennis courts and a large children's playground.
Public transport is from Maze Hill station which is 2 mins walk from the house. From there you are only 15 minutes from Central London.
You can also travel to Greenwich by bus, tube, DLR and the delightful river boat service.
The main A2 road is minutes from the house which makes it very easy to leave London by car to explore the beautiful English countryside. Within an hour you can be on the Kent coast or at one of many national historical sites like Leeds or Hever Castle. Bluewater, the large modern shopping centre is 20 minutes by car.
Greenwich is a historic 'village', the birth place of Henry VIII and his children Queen Elizabeth I and Queen Mary I and is therefore steeped in history. As such it is often used as a film set, for example in Les Miserable, the Pirates of the Caribbean, The Queen, the Young Victoria and almost anything about Sherlock Holmes!
It really is an amazing location for a holiday!
