About our home

Our house is a 4 bedroom Victorian semi-detached house on a quiet street in Greenwich. The house itself has just been modernised but retains original Victorian features. It has a modern kitchen (with an eating area) two bathrooms;one ensuite and a large lounge area with Sky HD+ TV. We have broadband internet facilities which would be available to my visitor. There is a beautifully decked garden to the rear with outdoor table and chairs and BBQ. We have a friendly and spoilt cat but would be able to house her elsewhere if required.

More about us

  1. We are a married couple in our mid 30's, early 40's called Jon and Clara. We are expecting a child imminently. We are both professionals (lawyers) and would look after your house as if it were our own. We have never done a home exchange before but really like the idea having a base for a longer than usual time in order to explore new countries and experience new communities. We have travelled extensively in the past and 5 years ago had a year's sabbatical when we travelled independently in South East Asia, South America and Africa. Now that we are expecting an addition to our family a more comfortable holiday option is preferable. We would be happy to help with tips on where to go and what to do in London and beyond.

Where is it?

The house is ideally located for London visitors. There is a train service 7 minutes walk away that takes you into the heart of London (London Bridge in 12 minutes and Charing Cross in 20 minutes). Alternatively you can catch a boat to the Tower of London, the Tate museums or further up the river to the London Eye. Greenwich itself has an incredible park which is just 10 minutes walk away. Greenwich village is always buzzing especially at the weekend with the market and has a number of lovely restaurants for you to choose from. We are only a 15 minute walk over the heath to the 'hidden gem' of Blackheath village which has a wide range of independent shops and restaurants. Of course this is the year of the Olympics (Greenwich is a host borough) and the period we hope to travel coincides with the Paralympics!
