About our home

Our lovely home is a 5 storey victorian townhouse with a private south facing walled garden in a conservation area in Islington, central London. The house was built in 1850's and has many period features. Through the extensive works we have undertaken, the house is much bigger than the average town house in this area. It has 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (one with a steam shower and very large bath!) and a guest toilet, a large well equiped modern kitchen/diner with all appliances and utility room. There is a TV room with a plasma screen and home cinema with many DVD's for adults and children to watch. There is also a double reception room with windows which can be pushed back to allow you to feel that you are in the garden. The house has fast broadband connection to the internet and WiFi.

The house is in a brilliant location, close to the many bars, restaurants and shopping facilities of Upper Street, Islington. It is also very well located for access to the West End and Oxford Street (you can get there in 20 mins door to door, only 4 stops on the tube.) and is a short distance from Highbury and Islington tube station(zone 2) and Angel tube station(zone 1). Islington is a popular area with families but also has enough bars and restaurants for couples to be entertained. Kings Cross and St Pancreas mainline stations are approx 1 mile away where there are trains to the North and Scotland, and Paris (only 2 hours 15 mins away), and local services e.g Brighton (1hour). Approx distances to London's main attractions -Regents Park/Madam Tussauds/London Zoo 2 miles, Camden Market 1 mile, Tate Modern/South Bank 4 miles, Leicester Square 4 miles, Houses of Parliament/Trafalgar Square 4 miles, Hampstead Heath 3 miles, Covent Garden 3 miles. These are all easily accessible by tube, bus or taxis'.

The Olympic site is approximately 4 miles from the house and you can a train from the local station (2 minute walk) directly to Stratford where the site is, which takes about 15 minutes.
